A Very Very Maverick Christmas: Advent Is an Invitation to WorshipSample

Day 19: Noel
There’s a holy tension in the word Noel. It’s both a whisper and a shout - a quiet awe at the God who wrapped Himself in skin, and a loud declaration that He came for us.
For generations, people waited in darkness, wondering if God still remembered His promise. And then He showed up. Not in a palace, not on a throne, but in a manger. Right in the middle of the mess, right where no one expected. That’s the beauty of Christmas.
God still shows up where no one expects Him.
In the noise, in the ache, in the waiting. He chooses the ordinary and fills it with glory.
The same Jesus who entered the world in obscurity still enters the hidden parts of our hearts today. He makes His dwelling in us. The Word became flesh then and now, His Word is still becoming alive in you.
So this season, before you rush past the wonder, stop long enough to breathe it in. The King has come near. And that changes everything.
Reflection: What “manger” moments, places that feel too small, too messy, too unseen, might He be choosing to fill with His glory?

About this Plan

We’re inviting you to slow down and step into the wonder of worship through the story of Jesus showing up for us. Each devotional walks hand in hand with a song from "A Very Very Maverick Christmas," drawing from Scripture and song to stir up gratitude, hope, and awe. As you move through themes of humility, joy, and adoration, our prayer is that you’d encounter Emmanuel - God with us - and remember that His love still changes everything.
