As we wrap up this devotional, let each person think of a nation you want to pray for every day. If you do not have one, pray and ask God to give you one.

As part of the Great Commission, let us pray for the nation you have chosen:

• Pray that God will send people who will go to and make disciples in that nation.
• Pray that God will make the hearts of the people ready for the gospel.
• Pray that they will respond when people tell them this truth.

Make a commitment to pray for that nation for an entire week.

READ THE WORD

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

Revelation 7:9–10

God has a plan for the people of the earth, and this is how it ends: everyone gathering together, worshiping Jesus! This is God’s mission, and it will be accomplished. The people will be as numerous as the stars in the sky and the sand on the shore, which points back to God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 12. What a glorious picture this is!

But we are not there yet. In this present time, God calls us to join His team to bring about the completion of His plan and purpose. Will you embrace this calling?

Parent/s to Kid/s

2–6 years old

• Who will worship together in heaven someday?
• Who will they worship?

7–12 years old

• Can you imagine the picture in heaven someday, with everyone worshiping God together? What do you think it will look like?
• What are some ways you can help God’s mission (for example, giving, praying, telling others about Jesus)?

Kid/s to Parent/s

• Is it hard to tell others about Jesus? What if they do not believe you?
• How can our family participate in God’s mission?

While we know that God’s work will be accomplished, it does not mean that we will just sit back and wait for it to be fulfilled. We have work to do. Today, we can take part in the work by praying, giving, and going to other nations.

PRAY

Dear God, thank You for Your plan for us to one day worship You with all the people of the world. You are glorious and You deserve all our praise! Today, give us the courage to share Your love to others. Use our family to be part of Your plan. In Jesus’ name, amen!
