🎄✝️ the Christmas Tree: From the Cradle to the Cross ✨ 25 Days of Hope!

DAY 1 OF 25

Welcome to "The Christmas Tree" 25 Day Devotional!

Series Theme: Exploring how God changed the world through the Cross and how “trees” are woven into this redemption story of grace.

Week 1: The Promise in the Tree (Days 1–5) by Dr. Timothy Brown.

Theme: God’s redemptive story began with a promise after humanity’s fall.

Day 1: The Tree in the Garden — Genesis 2:8–9

🌿 The True Tale of Two Trees

In the very beginning, God planted a garden in Eden and placed two special trees there: the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. One offered life. The other brought death.

God gave Adam a clear command:
“Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” (Genesis 2:16–17, NKJV)

Why two trees? Why give humanity a choice? Because love always involves freedom. God made us in His image—with the ability to choose. Without a choice, there can be no real love, no true obedience, no genuine relationship.

Adam had to decide whether to trust God’s goodness or take matters into his own hands. Would he walk in life or step toward death? That same question still echoes today.

As we begin this Christmas Tree journey, remember that the story of redemption started in a garden—with a choice—and ended on a cross—with another.

✨ Christmas Truth to Ponder: God is good, and He still desires the very best for you.
