Watching an eagle soar is mesmerising, it floats effortless on the broad span of its majestic wings. The wind currents help it gain altitude and from its high vantage point it can clearly see its intended target, often hundreds of feet below.

The eagle does not spend a lot of energy flapping its wings like other birds to stay aloft, but maintains its flight because of the updrafts. This wind is the key to the soaring of an eagle.

Our hope in God’s promises gives us the ability to also remain aloft in troubled times. It is reported that when storms roll into the eagles territory it will often soar above the storm, high above the clouds and rain, thus not being affected by the inclement weather.

When we allow God’s word to elevate us, we gain a whole new perspective on our problems. When we rely on His word to help us navigate through life, we do indeed get the ability to renew our strength and soar above the issues we face. It's not that the problem disappears, but rather we gain a new perspective on the things we face.

God’s word renews and refreshes us. It reinvigorates us with hope. When we continue to believe His word it empowers us to remain positive and hopeful in difficult seasons.
