Following Jesus Through the First Christmas: 25 Days of Advent TruthsSample

When the angel came to Mary, he visited a small town and spoke with a young woman living an ordinary life.
Mary didn’t have influence or position. She wasn’t wealthy by the world’s standards.
What she had was a heart open to God—a simple willingness to say yes.
Think about what Mary’s “yes” made possible. God was writing the story of how He would redeem His people, and He invited Mary to be part of it.
Today, God still moves through those who listen for His voice and are willing to be part of His work in the world.
Every moment—every conversation, every act of kindness, every choice to serve—is an open door for God to do His work through you.
Surrender makes your ordinary life holy ground.
God delights to meet you right where you are and weave His story through your life. Each yes you give Him sets you up to join Him in the work He is already doing.
Pray:
God, thank You for meeting me right where I am. Soften my heart to hear Your voice. Let my everyday life reflect Your purpose and Your presence. Amen.
Talk about it:
What’s one area of your life where you sense God asking for your yes? How could that yes open a door for God to work through you?

About this Plan

During a season that often feels busy and stretched thin, we invite you to pause and remember what matters most: following Jesus. The birth of Christ is more than a story we tell in December. It's the beginning of our Savior's life on earth — and the pattern for our own life with Him. Our prayer is that these 25 days prepare your heart to celebrate His birth, deepen your walk with Him today, and stir your hope for His return. We’ve also created a companion worship playlist – search “Following Jesus Through the First Christmas” on Spotify to listen.
