Thriving at WorkSample

Leaving a lasting impact with your work
If you passed on today, ask yourself what people will remember about you? Will they remember how your work helped them, or the bad things you may be using your life to do? There was a woman named Tabitha (translated as Dorcas) in the Bible. It is written that she was full of good works and charitable deeds (see Acts 9:36). But she became sick and died. Guess what happened after her death? People showed her works as they mourned her. Although God used Peter to raise her from the dead, her work spoke volumes about her personality.
Always remember that the work of your hands will outlive you. If you do it well, people will remember you and pay you a good tribute. But if you don’t do it well, you’ll have bad names spread about you. A good name is better than riches (see Proverbs 22:1). So, be mindful of your attitude in your profession. Be a person of your word. Don’t dupe people. Have healthy boundaries with troublesome people. God is with you always.
You’re a blessing.
