Bring Them With You

DAY 4 OF 7

Consistency Is Key

If you are not consistent in your behaviors, then you cannot effectively reach your loved ones for Christ. Christ is consistently the same (Hebrews 13:8)… so must we also be. Too often, it's easy to fall into patterns of inconsistency that lead to confusion, instead of the solid Truths of Scripture.

We must be a people of peace as followers of Jesus (1 Cor. 14:33). This peace should be evident in our daily lives and interactions. You must guard that peace as if your and everyone else's lives depend on it. Impact happens with intentional habit building.

Romans 12:12 tells us: "Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer." These are actually three great characteristics of someone who is intentional about winning the souls around us for God. We certainly cannot do any of these things without purposefully adopting daily habits to be all these things.

Recently, God gave me a dream. I would soon be serving Him and would face many attacks while doing my best. I would receive no help in handling attacks from those around me. I prayed against the dream. I asked God to help me be more like Him, to give me discernment and wisdom in handling things in a Godly manner. What He had warned me about came to pass a couple of weeks later. Many attacks came. I couldn't say I was shocked (God warned me). He showed me, in that particular area of ministry that lasted 4 days, that it was imperative for me to act/react in a Godly manner. He showed me that there's someone always watching my behavior, and that if I want to make an impact, I MUST act as His representative and take that role seriously.

I had to be consistent in my behavior as a follower of Jesus. When I was "bullied," I looked around, saw people watching to see how I would respond, and I heard God say, "They are watching — now represent ME in your response!" I obeyed and would say, "OK," and do whatever was asked of me without getting upset or lashing back. I chose to be a Godly leader, encouraging everyone around me the way Jesus would, and telling them what a great job they were doing so that they would not faint in their service to Him. After all, I was there to serve the Lord!" By the end, lives were positively impacted by watching my responses to the attacks.

Consistency is key. What steps can you take today to be more consistent in your actions/reactions to represent Him well?

About this Plan

Bring Them With You

We are getting closer and closer to the end, according to the Book of Revelation. It has never been more imperative to share your faith and emulate Jesus than it is at this moment. This plan will help you develop a plan of action to make an impact for the Kingdom with your family, friends, and neighbors as we approach the time of Jesus' reappearance. You can't take anything with you when it's your time to go... except those whom you have led to The Lord!
