I'd Rather Die on the High GroundSample

Koba and the Word
Koba was a hot-headed young man who lived a life of lies. He was also a womanizer who spent all his money on potions and amulets, consulting witch doctors so women would fall in love with him. He spent six years in primary school but never learned to read or write.
Then Koba learned that the preachers would teach people to read and write. Even though he had no desire to be a Christian, he pretended to accept Christ so that he could learn to read and write. Within a few months, he was reading although he paid no attention when Christian doctrines were taught. He detested anything Christian though he continued to pretend to be one.
Finally, he had read over and over the few books available. Desperate to find something new to read, Koba began to read the Bible. As he read book after book in the Bible, he began to admire it. He was particularly fascinated by the practical advice in the book of Proverbs and read it twice.
One day Koba went into the bush alone, He cried and asked the Lord to come into his life and forgive him. He decided to read the Bible to know more about God and real change began to come over him. His transformation was visible.
Koba’s motivation had been literacy and his “conversion” was false. Hebrews describes the Word of God as a powerful, sharp tool. It penetrated Koba’s mind; it cut to his heart and changed him.
