The PassionSample

Subconsciously, we all have a mental list of things that matter most to us. They’re our priorities. These are usually the things we give our hearts to and are often revealed by how we spend our time, money, and energy.
When the religious leaders asked Jesus to name the greatest commandment, He replied, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” (Matthew 22:37, ESV) This command reaches back to Deuteronomy 6:5, where God called His people not just to obey Him, but to love Him—to give Him their full hearts. Jesus doesn’t replace this command; He recenters everything around it.
Loving God isn’t just about doing the right things or following the rules. It means orienting your entire being—your emotions, thoughts, desires, choices, and will—toward God as your highest love and deepest loyalty. It’s a wholehearted devotion that puts Him at the centre of your life and lets Him shape how you think, act, live, rest, and trust Jesus each day. Naturally, this also influences where your time, money, energy, and attention go.
Today, ponder this: What does loving God with all your heart, soul, and mind look like today?
Is there anything you're loving more than Him? Is there anything that needs to be realigned and put back in submission to God?

Each devotion unpacks the urgency, sacrifice, and triumph of Christ’s mission, revealing the depth of God’s love and the cost of redemption. Reflect on the Last Supper, Gethsemane, the cross, and the empty tomb whilst encountering Jesus in His suffering and ultimate glory. Whether preparing for Easter or seeking a fresh perspective, The Passion seeks to stir hearts to know Jesus and make Jesus known with hope, boldness, and passion.
