Faith Formation Framework Series 1: Faith Shared by AdultsSample

Small Acts, Big Impact
Focus
Mindfulness: Recall a small gesture someone made that deeply impacted your life.
Listen
Scripture: Luke 16:10a (The Voice)
"If you’re faithful in small-scale matters, you’ll be faithful with far bigger responsibilities."
Reflection:
Sometimes we underestimate the impact of simple things: a text message, a smile, a remembered birthday, a prayer. Young people often forget our big speeches, but quiet acts of care that show they matter can be remembered and felt for a lifetime. In God’s Kingdom, small seeds planted now grow into great harvests in the future.
Apply
What small act of care could you offer to a young person today?
Respond
Jesus, teach me to trust the power of small acts done in love. Use my simple gestures to point young people to your unfailing grace.

About this Plan

Young people need adults who show up for them—not just at church events, but in everyday life. This first part of the Faith Formation Framework invites you to consider how your presence, your listening, and your own growing faith can become a gift to the next generation. We invite you to plan your work with young people in accordance with the safe environment policies of your local faith community. Other than that, you don’t need special credentials—just a willing heart.
