30 Day Battle-Ready Challenge - Leadership for Christian MenSample

Day 19: Know the Terrain
Reflection: Battle-ready men never play the role of an ostrich.
Burying our heads in the sand, pretending not to see what’s happening around us, is not only foolish—it’s dangerous. Yet, it’s a strategy we see all too often.
These days, people seem more interested in filming than helping. I recently heard a story that drives this home: A teenager came upon the scene of a car wreck before emergency responders arrived. A woman was trapped inside the vehicle and clearly in pain. Without hesitation, this young man acted—risking his own safety to help her.
Later, he shared what shocked him most: while he, basically still a boy, was jumping in to help, grown men stood on the sidelines with their smartphones out, recording. It’s as if likes and followers matter more than serving another human being.
But here’s the truth—when it’s all said and done, the number of followers you have will never compare to the number of people you help lead toward Heaven.
It’s time to stop living like it’s someone else’s responsibility. We can’t control how others behave, but we can control our actions. Aligning those actions with God’s plan will never steer us wrong.
Mission: The battlefield isn’t one single place—it’s everywhere: at home, at work, in your community, and beyond. A battle-ready warrior must always know the terrain.
Field Order: Identify the battleground where you feel weakest right now. Commit to one action you can take today to strengthen that area of your life.
