As for Me - Post Youth Camp

DAY 7 OF 14

AS FOR ME & MY AUTHORITY

Understanding the authority I have in Christ.

Josh Gazzard | Kingdom Hope

One of our goals as Christian disciples is to do what Jesus did. Sometimes we shrink this down to just reading my Bible more, being kinder, and forgiving more. Those are great things, but Jesus showed us even more. He studied Scripture, forgave, and loved people — but He also healed the sick, cast out demons, and boldly proclaimed the gospel.

Think of when your parents leave you in charge at home. You don’t suddenly own the house or become the parent, but you’ve been given authority to act on their behalf.

In a similar way, God gives His children authority to continue Jesus’ mission: teaching the Gospel, praying for the sick, and resisting the enemy. This doesn’t make us God, and it doesn’t mean we can do everything God can do — like creating the world — but it does mean we act in His name with His authority.

Finally, Jesus reminds His disciples in Luke 10:20 not to rejoice in miracles but to rejoice that their names are written in heaven. The greatest gift isn’t power, but knowing we belong to God.

So today, as you go about your day, consider the authority you walk in, and how you can practice doing what Jesus did.

About this Plan

As for Me - Post Youth Camp

The altar was only the beginning—now it’s time to walk in the power of your “yes” to God. This Bible plan will help you live out Joshua 24:15: “As for me…” Each day will stir your faith, strengthen boldness, and ignite a fire to stand for Jesus in your family, school, and generation. Through prayer, Scripture, and the Holy Spirit, you’ll be equipped to live unshaken. Camp lit the flame, but the fire is meant to fall in daily life. You are marked, chosen, and anointed to live with purpose and power for such a time as this.
