Rooted: 30 Days to Strengthen Your Faith Through StruggleSample

WEEK 3: Nourishing the Roots
Focus: Developing spiritual practices and a renewed mind to strengthen your identity in Christ.
Day 20: Practicing God’s Presence
"Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?... Even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast." Psalm 139:7–10
God is not just present in your quiet time. He’s not limited to Sunday services or morning devotions. He's not just there when you think of Him.
He’s with you in your pile of laundry. In your tears. In your to-do list. In your deepest questions and most mundane routines.
But often we miss Him.
Not because He's absent. But because we are not walking in awareness.
We live distracted. Pulled in a thousand directions. Tied to constant notifications, ruminating on fears, and striving for busyness.
And yet, God never leaves.
To practice His presence means to pause and remember: He is here.
It means turning your heart toward Him throughout the day. It might be a whispered prayer while washing dishes. A breath of praise in the car. A verse spoken over your anxious thoughts. It's slowing down - and even stopping - to bathe in His presence.
This is the gift Jesus gave us. The Holy Spirit dwelling within. You don’t have to go searching for God. He’s already closer than your next breath.
The more we practice noticing Him, the more peace we carry. Not because circumstances change, but because we remember who is with us through it all.
Reflection Questions:
- When have you felt God's presence most clearly?
- What could help you become more aware of Him daily?
- What is one simple way you can invite Him into your everyday rhythm?

About this Plan

We often view struggle as a bad thing to be avoided. Who wants pain, right? But what if it's in the struggle that God does some of his best refining work? What if it's in the struggle we are strengthened for the journey ahead? Jesus told us we would have trials - but we can take heart because we never walk the valley's alone. Join me for 30 days as we travel through scripture and strengthen our faith together in the face of struggle.
