30 Scripture Based Prayers for Your MarriageSample

Lord, help us love each other deeply and unconditionally.
In the beginning, love often feels effortless. I can remember when I first met my husband, I didn’t have to be intentional in thinking about him. I was constantly thinking about him, texting him, considering him. But as the seasons shift and life happens, the reality of our vows “for better or for worse, in sickness and in health” becomes more than idealistic promises made before family and friends. We grow, we change, and we witness the highs and lows of life together. Never in a million years did I think we would sit across from each other two years after marriage, merely roommates- almost strangers. It’s in these moments that God’s Word calls us to something deeper: “Love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins," 1 Peter 4:8 (NIV).
The grace we’ve received through the cross, the kind that conquered sin, hell, and the grave, should be the same grace we extend to our spouse. Not out of obligation, but out of love, honor, and a heart shaped by the gospel.
Today’s Prayer:
Lord, let your love flow through me and into my marriage. Help me to love my spouse deeply and unconditionally, just as you have loved me. Fill our home with grace…the kind of grace that forgives, restores, and brings us closer together. Amen.

About this Plan

Bringing your marriage before the Lord is both powerful and redemptive. When two imperfect people stand on Scripture and invite God to strengthen their bond, they build a defense the enemy cannot break. What a gift to know God is for your marriage, and for you. These next 30 days are an invitation to declare his Word over your relationship and trust him with what only he can do: protect, grow, and fortify your marriage from the inside out.
