DAY 17 OF 60

Romans 4
From Your Dream to God's Dream

Abraham had a dream. A big one. He wanted a legacy—someone to carry his name, someone to carry the story. He longed for a son.

That’s where the journey began. But that’s not where it ended.

God met Abraham in his desire, but He didn’t stop there. God gave Abraham a dream that was far bigger than he could have imagined. What started as a cry for one son became the birth of a nation, a people set apart, a blessing for every family on earth. God's dream wasn’t just a child—it was a King, a Saviour, a global legacy.

Abraham’s faith wasn’t just in the promise—it was in the One who gave it.

Even when it didn’t make sense.
Even when he was old and Sarah’s womb was barren.
Even when his own logic said, “This is impossible.”

He believed.

Romans 4 tells us, “Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed… He did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God.” Why? Because he was “fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.”

That kind of faith shifts things. It transforms us.

Maybe you started with a dream, like Abraham. A house. A job. A family. Something close to your heart. But what if God’s plan is to expand that dream—not to take it away, but to stretch it beyond what you ever thought possible?

God isn’t done with you. Your dream might just be a seed of what He’s growing.

You got the job—great! Now, what's your vision for that workplace?
You bought the house—amazing! But what kingdom impact will grow from around that dinner table?
You’ve received a miracle—praise God! But have you tapped out, or are you asking for the next step of faith?

Abraham could have stopped when Isaac was born. But he kept trusting. He held onto the bigger vision, even when it meant laying that very promise back on the altar. Because he knew: the dream wasn't over yet. He was dreaming God’s dream now.

So here’s the question: are you willing to surrender your dream for God's?

He may start with your desire, but He never ends there. He wants to partner with you to bring hope to this world, to lift your eyes from the temporary and fix them on the eternal. The vision He has for you is higher, wider, and richer than you can imagine.

About this Plan

Romans

Romans is more than a letter of personal salvation—it is a sweeping vision of God’s faithfulness. Paul retells Israel’s story, showing how God’s saving righteousness is revealed in Jesus, uniting Jew and Gentile, and forming a Spirit-filled family. This plan journeys through Romans as Paul unfolds the gospel of God’s new creation, calling believers to live as one people of faith, hope, and love.
