DAY 21 OF 60

Romans 5
God Sees You, Even at Your Worst

There are moments when you wonder, Why would God use someone like me? You feel alone. Unqualified. Unnoticed. You look around at others and think, “They’re funnier, cooler, more confident. I’m not the sportiest, the smartest, or the standout.” That’s the lie many of us grow up with—that we're “no one special.” But here’s the truth: God sees you.

He doesn’t just glance at you—He sees the potential inside of you. He sees someone who could change the world. And not because you’ve earned it or impressed Him. He sees you through the lens of love and purpose.

Romans 5 says, “When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us.” It’s not just that we were imperfect—we were enemies of God. Yet, in that place of rebellion and helplessness, Jesus stepped in. “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

This is not the kind of love that waits for you to clean yourself up. It’s the kind of love that shows up right in your mess. Right in your insecurity. Right in your shame.

And because of that love, “we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ.” Your relationship with God isn’t built on your efforts—it’s built on His sacrifice. It’s not held together by your strength—it’s secured by His grace.

Paul continues, “Our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies.” Think about that. Jesus didn’t wait until you got it all together. He died when you were still opposed to Him. That’s the kind of love that transforms lives.

So what does that mean for you?

It means you’re not disqualified.
It means you’re not overlooked.
It means you’re not “just a youth” or “just average.”

You’re seen.
You’re chosen.
And you’re empowered to live boldly for Him.
