DAY 3 OF 3

The Power of One

Jesus’ last commandment on earth to His disciples was this: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20).

This wasn’t just a command to His disciples. This is Jesus’ command to us, too. Whether it’s at home with your family, at work with your coworkers, spending time with your friends, or talking to the cashier at the grocery store, Jesus calls each of us to spread the Good News and make disciples.

The same God who created you, saved you, and called you is the One now inviting you to share the hope you’ve experienced with others.

And the good news is—you’re not alone in that calling. You’re part of something bigger.

In the book of Acts, we see how the early Church began with a group of believers, unified in purpose and faith. As the early church gathered, shared, and supported one another, they spread the message of Jesus to even more people, despite facing opposition and persecution. And as they came together, God multiplied their efforts by adding to their number daily.

When each person steps into their calling, something greater happens. The Kingdom of God expands.

What began as a small group of believers in the first century has become a global movement, reaching people in every corner of the world.

Imagine what God could do if we lived with the same unity, purpose, and boldness as the early church.

It starts with one, and it continues as each of us shares God’s Word—until everyone, everywhere, every day knows Him. That’s the power of one.

Reflect and Respond:

  • Who can you share the Good News of Jesus with today?
  • What does discipleship look like in your life right now?
  • In what ways can you be more intentional about living out your faith in community?
  • What gifts, skills, or opportunities has God given you to expand His Kingdom?

Prayer:

God,
I want to share the Good News with others. Give me boldness to spread Your message and eyes to see those who need it most. Show me how to love others well and be a faithful representative of You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
