The Vision of His Glory by Anne Graham Lotz

DAY 6 OF 6

HOPE THAT IGNITES OUR HEARTS!

The vision of His glory ends with the thrilling promise of hope: “ ‘Yes, I am coming soon.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen” (Revelation 22:20–21).

He is coming! He is coming! He is coming!

We know He is coming soon; He just has not arrived yet. Hope wakes us up and keeps us awake! In light of the vision of His glory, be faithful to watch!

The vision of His glory ignites our hearts with passionate anticipation, challenging us to live faithfully every day, every hour, every moment in the light of the imminent return of the One who alone is worthy as . . .

The Alpha and the Omega - the Son of Man - the Son of God - the Great High Priest - the Light of the World - the Everlasting Father - the Commander of the Lord’s Army - the Avenger of His People- the Lion of Judah- the Lamb Who Was Slain - the Rider Called Faithful and True - the Word of God - the Final Judge - the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings … the only Hope of the world! To the glory of God!

Hope ignites our hearts to live: Faithful to His Word, faithful to worship, faithful to His work, faithful to wash, faithful to witness, faithful to warn, and faithful to watch!

What has diverted your focus from Christ? What is lulling you into complacent sleep? What has caused you to drift into unfaithfulness? Refocus! Wake up! Be faithful! Live your life in the light of the vision of His glory!

The vision of His glory gives hope to the hopeless: all those who are depressed by the smallness of their lives and the greatness of their problems . . . all those who are deluded by their own significance and by their own insignificance . . . all those who are discouraged by the majority of the ungodly and by the minority of the godly . . . all those who are distressed by evil actions and by evil alliances . . . all those who are defeated by life and defeated by death . . .

Do you know hope? Do you really believe in hope? If so, would you buy into what you believe by claiming the hope of the vision of His glory as your own, then living your life in the light of it?

Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

About this Plan

The Vision of His Glory by Anne Graham Lotz

The book of Revelation was originally written to give hope to the early church when Christians were being persecuted. It was written to a generation of Christians yet to come who will experience what Jesus described as “great distress” (Matthew 24:21). As Christians we are called to lift up our heads and open our eyes to the Person of Jesus Christ … and we will find that the vision is glorious! Dedicated to the hopeless.
