Our Persistent PrayerSample

Practice Your Persistent Prayer
You made it! You persisted until the last day of this Bible Plan!
Today, there’s a small challenge awaiting you. And you get to share it with someone. Your family, a friend—anyone! If you can share today’s Bible Plan with someone, that will be perfect.
Here’s why: Today’s video will walk you through a prayer you can pray together! If nobody’s around, that’s okay. You can absolutely pray this on your own. But if you can round up someone to share your prayer with, go get them right now! (Maybe the person you shared your prayer request with on Day 3 of this Bible Plan?)
When you’re ready, watch this video and pray it out.
Amen!
Today, you’ll close out this Bible Plan with a challenge, and then by reading the parable of the persistent widow one last time.
Ask yourself: What’s one thing I’ve learned about God or even about myself as I went through this Bible Plan? What’s one thing I don’t want to forget that I’ve been learning or thinking about as I’ve studied the parable of the persistent widow?
Challenge yourself: You know what to do! Grab your journal and write out your thoughts and feelings from the “Ask yourself” questions above. Pay special attention to anything new that stands out to you as you read this parable one last time today. Maybe you just want to draw a picture of your thoughts. Maybe you want to write a poem. Whatever’s on your heart and mind, put it in your journal so you’ll be able to look back on it when you need it one day.
Your persistent prayer: God, justice is Your design, and I want everyone on earth to know Your righteousness. Count me in as Your partner. Lead me to where things are broken and direct me on how to make a difference. Until Your world is restored and evil is no more, amen.

About this Plan

When you pray for something important, like righting a wrong, it can feel discouraging when nothing seems to happen. This five-day Bible Plan for preteens features the parable of the persistent widow and videos from The Loop Show to encourage you to pray with persistence!
