The Path: What if the Way of Jesus Is Different Than You Thought?Sample

The Leap
What if it wasn't all on you?
You felt it, didn't you? That precarious moment when Tal stood on the edge of the cliff with Jesus, desperately wanting to hold onto control, but longing to surrender into trust. The Leap wasn't just about changing location—it was about changing kingdoms. From "I Can" to "He Can." From the exhausting weight of making life work on our own, to the terrifying, glorious freedom of letting someone else carry it.
The invitation Jesus extends is both beautiful and, if we're honest, a bit unsettling. He doesn't promise an easier life, but a different kind of life—one where God is the Great Author of our story, instead of us. One where He is in control instead of us. We simultaneously long for it and fight it tooth and nail. Tal discovered what we all must: that the control we cling to for safety often becomes the very thing keeping us from the adventure we were made for. The Leap requires us to believe that God's love for us is stronger than our fear of losing control.
We all stand on that same cliff as Tal, deciding: Do I trust Jesus enough to let go? The Windsong of the Spirit is calling, but the choice is ours. It always is. Grace never forces itself on us—it only invites, beckoning us into a greater story. The question isn't whether God is trustworthy, but whether we're ready to discover just how trustworthy He is.
Reflection Questions:
- What area of your life feels hardest to trust God with?
- What fears keep you from "leaping" deeper into relationship with Jesus?
- How might God be inviting you to move from "I Can" to "He Can" today?
