Losing to Win, Serving to Lead, Dying to Live

DAY 5 OF 5

Living the Kingdom Way

Key Thought:

The upside-down kingdom becomes visible when ordinary people live it out in everyday ways — with love, courage, and deep trust in Jesus.

Devotional:

The world celebrates the loudest, flashiest, and most powerful. But the kingdom often comes quietly — in the form of peacemakers, mercy-givers, truth-tellers, and wounded healers.

We are not waiting for the kingdom — the kingdom is here, we are carriers of it. Every act of grace, justice, humility, and love brings heaven to earth.

The way of Jesus is narrow. Not always easy. But it’s also beautifully alive— full of joy, purpose, and divine partnership.

A teenage girl in a rough neighborhood started praying for her school, one locker at a time. She saw nothing change — until a teacher approached her months later and said, “I don’t know what you’re doing, but something is shifting.” Revival begins with hidden obedience.

Pitfall to Avoid: Don’t chase “impact” more than intimacy with Jesus. Start small, stay faithful, and trust that God sees it all.

Question: Where can you be a quiet revolutionary for the kingdom of Heaven today?

About this Plan

Losing to Win, Serving to Lead, Dying to Live

What if the path to true life isn’t about winning, leading, or achieving — but about surrendering, serving, and dying to self? In this 5-day plan, explore with Joel A’Bell how the teachings of Jesus invite us into an upside-down kingdom where the last are first, the meek are blessed, and real power is found in weakness. Each day will challenge you to rethink what success looks like and embrace the radical, life-giving way of Jesus. You won’t just learn about the Kingdom — you’ll be invited to live it.
