Hebrews: Beyond CampSample

Big Idea: Let go of what’s holding you back and fix your eyes on Jesus.
The Christian life is like a race. Not a sprint, but a marathon. Hebrews 12 tells us to throw off what slows us down—especially sin—and run with endurance. But we’re not just running for the sake of it. We’re running toward Jesus.
Jesus is described as the “pioneer and perfecter” of our faith. That means he went before us and now empowers us to follow. When we’re tired, we look to him. When we’re hurting, we remember what he endured for us. He gives us both the reason and the strength to keep going.
Reflect & Respond:
- What’s one thing slowing you down in your race of faith?
- Identify and lay aside one distraction or habit that keeps you from running freely.
Pray: Jesus, help me run with endurance. Show me what to let go of and how to keep my eyes on you. You’re worth every step. Amen.
