WORSHIP: EXTOL One of my favorite memories is the sight of a little girl wearing a princess costume holding her daddy's hand . . . in a hardware store. She walks with him in this big strange place, happy and confident because she's with her protector. Can you still remember what it's like to be only 3 feet tall? Everything looks much bigger and scarier when you feel small. Just like that little girl, we are given the gift of walking around with God in public. The "churchy" word for that is "extol." In Latin it means to "pick up and carry around." The blessing God gives his church is that we get to extol him. We get to praise our God in public and carry him around with us during the day. Each day you can say, "In God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" (Psalm 56:11). This week as you walk around at home, in the store, at work, and at church, you can be confident that you are walking around with your protector. Doesn't that make you feel safe? and proud? Say with a happy heart, "I'm with the big guy. I'm with God. I'm with him!"
