Winter Warm-Up Sample

"The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the scriptures. They also recognised as men who had been with Jesus." - Acts 4:13 (NLT)
Peter and John were ordinary men. They had no special training in the scriptures. They had no degrees, didn’t go to university or bible college. They were just ordinary men. We can feel like Peter and John; just ordinary people, no real job or qualifications. But that doesn’t matter to God - you have Jesus, you have access to the Holy Spirit, you are more than qualified to do what God has called you to do! He fills you with boldness and confidence. God takes what you give and uses it for His purpose.
Obey what God is asking of you: that may be to love someone, forgive that person, spend time with Him instead of Netflix, give of your money or time.
Sometimes in those everyday moments it may seem small and insignificant, or could seem really big, but God equips you.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for using ordinary men like Peter and John for Your purpose. Lord, I pray that You will fill me with boldness and confidence to do as You ask of me. With the Holy Spirit, I can do all things. In Jesus' name, amen.
