Bible Study 6/30
Jesus told people why He came
Important: Do not do these Bible Studies alone. Do it with at least one more person or a group of three or four people. Be careful not to make the group larger than five. Instead, start another group.
Key principle
Jesus came to earth to save sinners. As followers of Jesus, it is our responsibility to go and tell unsaved people that salvation from sin is available. Our task is to tell people that reconciliation between God and people is possible, that God created us for a purpose, how to get to heaven, and that we can live in the presence of God for eternity.
Key Scripture passages
Luke 5:29-32 (BSB) – (29) Then Levi hosted a great banquet for Jesus at his house. A large crowd of tax collectors was there, along with others who were eating with them. (30) But the Pharisees and their scribes complained to Jesus’ disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” (31) Jesus answered, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. (32) I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.

2 Questions
1. What do we learn about God in these 3 Scriptures?
2. What do we learn about ourselves and other people in these passages? What does God expect of me? How does God feel about me?
2 Things to remember
Name two things that stand out to you in these four passages of Scripture that you feel are important to remember.
1 Practical thing to do
Obedience: Because God is speaking here, we must respond: What must I do to obey what He says in these Scripture passages? What must change in my life? How can I apply and integrate these truths into my life? How can I be a blessing to other people around me? Decide on one thing you could do or change within the next 48 hours..
Maybe God is saying something to you, but you are hesitant or afraid to act on it. Discuss it with a friend, pray together, and then move forward obediently. The Holy Spirit will help you.
Take time to pray
Worship God because He is sovereign. Pray for your unsaved friends. Take time to confess your sins. Pray for His guidance. Pray for people living in the darkness of addiction and poverty.

About this Plan

Every day, people come to Jesus and start to follow Him. Many of them do not receive follow-up. Nobody is taking care of them. Nobody helps them grow in their relationship with Jesus or explains to them what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Short: Nobody is discipling them. This plan will help you to that with young converts.
