Miracles and Mysteries: Matthew 8-13Sample

Why does God allow evil to remain?
Jesus tells a parable about a farmer whose enemy sows weeds among the wheat. Instead of pulling them up immediately, the farmer lets both grow until the harvest, when they will be separated. The message is clear: God’s kingdom advances in a world where evil still exists, but judgment will come at the right time.
The glory of Jesus is seen in His all authority over judgment. This echoes Daniel 7:13-14, where the Son of Man is given power to judge the nations. For now, the church exists in a mixed world—but one day, the wheat and weeds will be separated.
Today, ponder this: Are you trusting God’s timing, or do you struggle with why He delays judgment?
