This 10-day plan is a great way to create a Bible Study habit with your pre-schooler. Reading the Bible as a family will help them create that habit for themselves as they get older. Join Christie Thomas in sharing God's truth with your little ones.
God Sends an Angel to Mary: Day 1
The angel said to Mary, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you. For this reason the baby will be holy and will be called the Son of God.”
Luke 1:35
One day, a lady named Mary was doing work at home, maybe sweeping the floor or washing clothes. Suddenly, something super bright was standing right in front of her! She freaked out a bit, but the shiny thing turned out to be an angel from God. He told her God had chosen her to do something very special. He said God wanted Mary to have a baby, even though she wasn’t married yet. She was pretty confused, but God really wanted her to have this baby. See, this baby wasn’t just any old baby. It was God’s own Son. This baby was going to be the Savior! God had chosen Mary for a very special job—she would get to be the mom of God’s Son, and she would call Him Jesus.

About this Plan

This devotional makes reading and studying the Bible with your pre-schooler possible. In this plan you'll study two Bible passages, one for each of 5 days with simple thoughtful questions for each day. Each day takes just a few minutes of time that makes it easy for a pre-schooler, but the repetition of a passage over 5 days makes it sink in deeply. You'll find that doing a Bible study with your youngest children is not only possible but also enjoyable.
