How to Have a Quiet Time With GodSample

On Holiday, Sick or in Crisis!
We often think that holidays will be our best times with God! In practice, they are often the worst.
Some apprentices even stop all communication with Jesus while they’re on holiday – a bit like holding your breath for a fortnight!
Why?
Because on holiday our rhythms and habits are completely disrupted.
So, what’s the answer?
Follow a different pattern when you’re on holiday. Make it simple and manageable!
How about this:
Thank God - Read one Psalm three times. Pray five prayers.
It’s like cycling uphill – change down from top gear to gear one or two. On holiday, when you’re sick, when life’s completely AWOL and out of kilter, change down a few gears. Use Iron rations. Keep it simple!
It’s better to pray a little, and simply, than not to pray at all.
