Teaching Your Child How to Respect and Obey (God’s Way)Sample

Day 8: Offering Supportive Guidance
As we progress through our journey of instilling respect and obedience in our school-age children, today's focus is on the role we play as a source of supportive guidance in their lives. Our guiding Scriptures for today are Proverbs 22:6 and Galatians 6:2. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us to "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it," while Galatians 6:2 encourages us to bear one another's burdens, fulfilling the law of Christ.
Action to take today:
Be a source of support and guidance for your children. Emphasize the importance of seeking help and offering assistance when needed.
Prayer:
Gracious God, help me provide supportive guidance to my children. May they feel comfortable seeking help and offering assistance to others. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Next, read and meditate on God's Word before you go about your day.
