Overflow When you experience some holy margin because you have chosen HOLY over hustle, you begin to operate in God's abundance. He has more than for you. But to access it, you must be willing to let go of whatever he asks. You may need to clean up the clutter in your calendar and soul. And when you have made room, you can expect overflow! Romans 15:13 is my prayer for you today: I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. (NLT) He wants to fill you so full of his light, love, grace, and mercy that it starts overflowing and spilling out over everyone around you. But we have to create space for his overflow. If we want our cup to overflow with his blessings and live the abundant life he has for us, we have to trust him to rearrange our priorities, let go of the unnecessary, and be intentional about margin in our lives. Be warned: this is not the way of the world. If you choose a life of HIS abundance, you will be going against all the shiny things the world offers. You will be on a different path than those around you. You might not fit into places that you used to. Those shiny things are not actual gold, though. The world can't offer the substance that God's way and his Word can. If you want to live the life he has for you, today is a good day to trust him to bring you to a place of overflow. Soak up his Presence. Grab his hand. Breathe in His Word. And choose HOLY over hustle. PRAYER: God, I want to live steeped in your Presence! Give me a holy boldness to go in Your direction, even if it goes against the direction of everyone around me. Please show me how to let go of anything that holds me back and continue rearranging my priorities as you see fit. I want to operate with more margin around my time, so I give that to you, too.
