Twenty Five Days of Christmas DevotionsSample

Not to the kings who thought they were high and mighty,
Nor to the priests who assumed they were holy,
But to shepherds watching over their flock by night,
Came the angels with good news of great delight.
Though the Saviour has been born for all people,
The news appeals only to the broken and humble.
For those who are weary and distressed,
Jesus came to give them rest.
For the one who mourns over his wretched heart,
Jesus came to change and give them a brand-new start.
To the one who lacks purpose and is empty inside,
Jesus came to be their light and eternal guide.
The one who feels he has everything under his control,
Does not long for a Saviour to rescue his soul.
But to the one who is hurting, desperate and distraught,
To you is born this day a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.

About this Plan

There is no better season than Christmas to dwell on the reason for the season. Over the next 25 days, we will look back at some key prophecies relating to the promised Messiah. We will also observe the lives and circumstances that surrounded the birth of Jesus. Above all, we will see how Jesus makes a difference in our lives both now and forever.
