Twenty Five Days of Christmas DevotionsSample

The magi were wise men who specialized in astronomy. They knew from the sign in the sky that the King of the Universe had entered the dimensions of His creation. So began their long journey in search of the King they desired to worship. They followed the directions laid by the star and rejoiced when they reached their destination. Their joy was not in the discovery of the star but in the worship of the One who came to give eternal life.
What is it that delights you this season? The lights and endless festivities can distract you from the real reason behind this season. If your joy is wrapped in the gifts and glitter of the Christmas season, it will quickly evaporate when the season is done. But if the reason for your joy is the Lord who pours His love into your heart, then nothing can take away that joy.

About this Plan

There is no better season than Christmas to dwell on the reason for the season. Over the next 25 days, we will look back at some key prophecies relating to the promised Messiah. We will also observe the lives and circumstances that surrounded the birth of Jesus. Above all, we will see how Jesus makes a difference in our lives both now and forever.
