Power for LifeSample

As you read Colossians 4 today, pay close attention to the names of people Paul mentions in his closing greetings. Do you know any of these names from other places in the Bible? (For example, Epaphras was mentioned in Colossians 1.) Tomorrow you will explore one of these names in greater detail. After reading Colossians 4, continue exploring the Psalms as a guide to prayer. As you read Psalm 8 today, find a line, phrase, or thought that can be a springboard for prayer. For instance, you may choose verse one: "Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!" To turn this into a guide for prayer, you may pray something like, "Lord, how Majestic is your name in all the earth! Today I saw your beauty and glory in (a sunrise, my child's laugh, your provision for my family)." Reflect on the verse that you select and your prayer time with the Lord in the Notes feature of the YouVersion App.
