He Reveals to His Bride Intimacy is something that God craves from His children. It is in the secret place that His will is revealed to us. When we understand His heartbeat, we are able to dwell in His shadow. And it is here, under His wings, that His blueprint for our life is revealed. The Lord compares His relationship with us to that of marriage. Marriage is a covenant in which two people become one. The relationship is one of utmost intimacy and nothing is hidden. It is within the covenant of this relationship that each partner reveals their innermost thoughts and secrets to each other and takes counsel from each other. This is the kind of relationship that God wants with each of us. He does not want us to journey through life always confused and wondering what His will is for us. He wants to reveal His plans, His desires, His will to us. Often, we as His bride, do not give Him the attention, the time and the commune that He so desires from us. We drift away, consumed by the worries of this life and He becomes a stranger to us. We then have difficulty in fathoming His heart and His intentions. God’s Word says that He has amazing thoughts and plans for us but it is only in the secret place that these thoughts and plans are revealed. That’s why God longs for a deep and intimate relationship. He wants us to glimpse into His heart and know the blueprint He has for our lives.
