Special Treasure Have you ever felt unworthy, that God could not use someone like you? Have you ever thought you were no one special? People may say all sorts of things, but God says He has chosen you, and you are His own special treasure. How amazing is that! God uses ordinary people in extraordinary ways for His glory. God is not looking for the perfect person, but He is looking for someone who is available and has faith in Him. Jesus’ twelve disciples were fishermen, tax collectors and common people. When Jesus chose His disciples, He was not looking for perfect and highly qualified ones. Instead He was looking for real people, whom He could transform with His love. Jesus’ disciples went on to do extraordinary things for their Master. When God chose Moses to deliver His people from Egypt, Moses responded saying “I am not an eloquent speaker and am slow in speech and tongue”. Yet, Moses’ impediment did not deter God from using him in a mighty way. The same God, who chose Moses and His disciples with all their shortcomings, has chosen you. He does not think you are insignificant, but has called you and set you apart. God has great and mighty plans for you. He wants to use you for His kingdom and make you a great nation. He created you and cares for you. God says you are special, so do not let anyone belittle you with their words or behavior. If you are feeling disappointed or rejected, know that you are the apple of His eye and His very own special treasure. I encourage you today, to turn your eyes towards Jesus because He will never let you down, He will never leave you nor forsake you. Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You for always being there for me and valuing me so much. Thank You, for choosing me and making me Your very own special treasure. Amen.
