A Word for the Wives What an amazing promise for the wives who desire a great marriage! To win your hot tempered husband over, to win your dominating husband over, to win your stingy husband over, without a word being said. It definitely takes God’s involvement in your marriage. We men can be quite harsh, at times, impatient and wanting to have our own way, not realizing that our behavior causes our family members hurt and sadness. Wives, are you willing to help when we, husbands, don’t see the light? There is a small price to be paid, but you will be triumphant, having a better husband by your side. In 1 Peter 3, we learn a few lessons: Sarah obeyed Abraham and respected him (verse 6). Holy women trusted God and submitted to their husbands (verse 5). These women had an excellent trait about them, a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God, and more precious than gold, silver or good clothes (verse 3,4). Their husbands responded to this gentle, quiet and submissive spirit and did their best for their wives. With God, all things are possible. Wives, there is a challenge awaiting you! Stop arguing and complaining about your husband. Remember, God has kept you by his side to help him and make him a better man. God has inwardly, equipped you for this purpose. So trust God, pray for your husband, respect him, submit to him and serve him. You will have a wonderful husband, who has you on his mind most of the time. Get into action and watch the difference. Prayer Father, I really desire a wonderful husband. I now commit to obeying Your Word, in praying for him, serving him, respecting him and submitting to him.
