He Watches Over You God’s eyes are upon all men, and are directed with special attention to those who fear, trust and love Him. In fact, God’s watchful eyes are on you even when you can’t clearly see the path you’re walking on. This same thought is shared in 2 Chronicles 16:9: “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.” The Lord watches over you not because of His wrath, or distrust or your likeliness to sin, but because He loves you. He is the one who will guide you with His still small voice and keep you from evil. God’s eyes are constantly on us to protect us and bring us through the difficulties we encounter in our lives. Often it’s hard to see God’s hand at work in our lives and we begin to doubt His presence. He may seem far away or totally out of reach, but remember God is closer than you think. Our Father is always watching over us and is always at work behind the scenes. He will take you through every good and bad season. God will deliver your soul from death. In other words, He will preserve your life. He is your protector and He will guard you and defend you when in danger. Even in famine or in times of want, He will make sure you have plenty. In famine He will deliver you from death (Job 5:20 NIV). What more do you need? Prayer Lord, instill in me a fear of You, that I may not wander but stay on the path You have planned for me.
