The ultimate expression of God’s love for us, is the person of Jesus. Jesus died on the cross and rose again so we could be saved. It’s hard to understand how much love God has for us, it’s more than we can imagine in our human minds. When we look at Jesus, we see what this love is like.

We don’t just have all this love to keep it for ourselves. Jesus teaches us, His followers, that we can love others too. People can see that we are followers of Jesus when we live in a way that shows others God’s love.

We can’t do it alone in our own strength. No matter how hard we try in our own strength we will never get it right all the time. It’s only with God’s power that we can grow to be more like Jesus. The Holy Spirit is our helper, our guide and our friend who empowers us to live more like Jesus. God gives us His love through the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit helps us to show that love to others.
