### Faith for new beginnings will be met with opposition that will lift us into a greater level of personal authority Increased faith will always be met with increased opposition. The key to victory is knowing the truth concerning your commission, and in whose authority you stand. From the beginning of time, God has always had the power to destroy the devil and his hordes. Our God is sovereign, and His authority is absolute. Why then has He tolerated this sin-infested world and the demons that ravage it? Why were there giants in the promised land that needed to be fought and overcome? Surely God knew of the battles that would have to be fought, and the constant challenges of faith that His people would be presented with throughout history. The answer is found in knowing God’s ultimate intention for humanity. We must keep in mind God’s twin objectives: firstly, the possessing of new territory - the extension of His Kingdom. Secondly, the preparation of a vessel for eternity – the forging of the heart of an overcomer, the development of rulership and dominion within our spirit. If we are ever to be overcomers, it will not be because the Lord has removed the potential of conflict from our path. It is quite the opposite. It is the very process of confronting conflict and having to exercise our God-given authority in prayer that develops that spiritual dominion within us. The capacity to reign and the spiritual authority to rule are a spiritual muscle to be developed. It is only as we exercise it that it matures. Our adversaries exist to be conquered! They are fuel for our growth. On the cross, Jesus paid the price to purchase all dominion and rule, but we must now enforce that on a daily basis. The legal document that guarantees us our potential victory over the flesh and the devil is the Word of God. Does it take faith? Absolutely. But He has already placed that faith within you. Draw upon that faith and determine to live by it. It is as you cry out to Him in prayer and claim the power of His Word that faith is released. An overcoming life is not for a few elite superstars but for everyday followers of Jesus like you and me.
