## God sees you “I see you You see me.” God is omniscient, all-powerful, and holds the entire world, yet you’ve never left His sight. He knows you because He created you. He sees deeply into your heart. From beginning to end, He has and will always be with you. Studies show that eye contact is an intimate and effective way to increase the connection and trust between two people. Even if just for a few seconds, eye contact has a profound effect that can bring unity, a sense of security, and emotional binding. Now imagine how much more impactful it would be to connect with your Creator, the One who formed you and knows you inside out, in that way. There wouldn’t exist a need for you to explain yourself or entertain Him. You will receive everything your soul needs by sitting in front of Him. What would happen if, before coming to God to ask, we came to Him to connect in stillness with the certainty that our lives can be transformed with only a moment in His presence? Our starting point to remember our reason to live is simply fixing our eyes on the One who has never ceased to fix His eyes on us, the initiator and perfecter of our faith. In Genesis 16, we find Hagar, a woman fleeing from a very difficult situation, but as she ran from her problems, she ran into God. She felt alone, unseen, cast out, and hopeless, but she wasn’t alone in her wilderness. God came to her and renewed her vision. He reminded her that her future was in His hands, and every promise He had spoken over her would come to pass. She had a profound moment of locking eyes with her Maker. The Lord asked her where she had come from and where she was going. She was coming from a place of pain and running aimlessly. However, God saw it all and reminded her that He had a plan for her. This revelation changed Hagar’s perspective and rerouted her into her destiny. It led her to say: “You are the God who sees … I have now seen the One who sees me.” Today, God invites us to fix our eyes on Him and take refuge under the shadow of His wings.
