Ask Seek Knock - Sermon on the MountSample

Playing hide and seek can be lots of fun! What’s your best hiding spot? Some people try to trick their friends by putting pairs of shoes under the curtains or pillows under blankets on their beds to make it look like that’s where they were hiding. Expert hide and seek players even sneak past the person searching for them and hide in a new spot while the game is still going. The game of hide and seek is believed to have been around since the 2nd century BC. Do you think Jesus and His brothers played hide and seek when they were young?
We can seek God. He’s not playing tricks to make it hard to find Him; He is not hiding from us. He promises when we seek Him, we will find Him. When we pray, He is listening. We can seek God when we pray and read His Word. We can seek God when we worship and gather in His house. We can even seek God in the world around us; seeing His amazing creation reveals His power and creativity. Everywhere we look, God is at work, and we can find Him.
