[IMAGE CONTENT] ## THE ANIMISTS OF NORTHERN ASIA Millions of Animists live in Northern Asia’s remote regions. They believe that spirits live in nature, especially in large mountains and waterfalls. Many follow the direction of a village shaman, attempting to appease the spirits that haunt them. ## Pray that: 1. The Word of God is made available to these animistic, mountainous people groups, breaking the chains of superstition that bind them. 2. The Holy Spirit will provide unconventional routes into remote villages, allowing strong redemptive relationships with these people groups. Isaiah 44:16-17: “Half of it he burns in the fire; over this half he eats meat, he roasts a roast, and is satisfied. He also warms himself and says, “Aha! I am warm, I have seen the fire.” Yet the rest of it he makes into a god, his carved image. He bows down before it and worships; he also prays to it and says, “Save me, for you are my god.” John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
