Hope in God!Sample

The Holy Spirit Fills You With Hope
Over the last few days, I stressed the importance of maintaining the assurance of hope, and urged you to do so by regularly studying the Bible. However, in the end we can’t maintain hope by our own efforts. These are just means through which the Holy Spirit nourishes our souls. Our hope depends on “the God of hope” and “the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13). He is able to save us, to give us the strength we need, and to fill us with joy and peace. He does not do this sparingly, but makes us “abound in hope”.
Joy and peace are fruit of the Spirit. Jesus made clear how we can bear this fruit: “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are all involved here. Together, they are the one true God. If we have a close relationship with Him, He will fill us with hope.
Do you abide in God?

About this Plan

For many people, “hope” is something positive but also something uncertain. If we hope for something, we are not sure whether it will happen. However, the Bible teaches us that there is a source of hope that is absolutely certain and trustworthy — God's character and promises. This reading plan is about hope from a Biblical perspective.
