Day 7: My husband will gently lead his family Scripture: Ephesians 5:23, For the husband, is head of the wife, as Christ is head of the church, Himself being the Savior of the body. My Prayer: Father, I pray that my husband will experience your gentle and kind love for him. I pray that his love for me would be an overflow of the love and grace he received from you. I ask that you compel him to seek and desire you more than he pursues and desires me. I know that if this is the case, his love for me will be pure and not based on my performance which falls short every day. Lord, teach him how to love through how he may feel, what he may think is right, what he may believe that respect and honor are but, see it through your eyes. Lord, may our marriage be characterized by grace and forgiveness. I pray that he would gently lead our children and me. In Jesus' Name, Amen! As you do this, I pray that the God of endurance and encouragement would cause you to endure your love, honor, and respect for your husbands, and I hope that you have grown in the Lord and learned more about yourself, seen and felt a change in you, your husband and your marriage. Over the 31 days of writing this book, I learned so much, and I did not see the difference I was looking for right away. Still, as of today, my marriage is so much more robust. My husband's relationship with our Father is so pure, and that has made our relationship with one another so much more substantial. After 17 years of marriage, we had a breakthrough in our marriage, and we will continue to share our testimony to help other married couples know that the breakthrough was not just for us but, we are blessed to be a blessing. I pray that something that I have shared has encouraged you, and may our Father be glorified as we continue to love our husbands through praying for them, which is the best thing we can ever do for them.
