## Above All > “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’ Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know. > Job 42:2-3 (NIV) Many circumstances in our lives can invade and steal our peace. With our limited understanding, we struggle to comprehend the places of suffering, injustice, and pain. Job faced phenomenal loss and challenges physically, emotionally, and spiritually even from well-meaning friends. In chapters 39-42, Job recognized the failings of self-righteousness. The eyes of his heart opened, and his heart's posture was one of submission to God, His Maker. God reminded Job of His Sovereignty above all. In life, it is beyond our ability to understand the flawlessness of God's perfect plan. His Word assures us that He loves us so intimately, assures us of His plans and purposes for a future and hope. Jesus is our Mediator of the New Covenant, our Deliverer, and Chief Cornerstone, our deep assurance and hope in all. God's covenant extended to us that in all things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. His plans and purposes cannot be thwarted. ### Prayer Abba Father, Thank You for You are good. Help us in our weaknesses. We acknowledge that You are above all, the Author and the Perfector of our faith. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
