DAY 3 OF 21

# Day 3 Written by Ps Carol Hanes ## God Connections ### Read Acts 10:1-8, 24-33 ### Reflect Last year we studied Acts 10 through the whole of our fast. The Gentiles, previously considered "unclean" by the Jews and excluded from any relationship with Him, were now considered "clean" by the provision of the cross. The good news of salvation was and is for everyone, everywhere. It's interesting to observe how God connected the centurion Cornelius, a Gentile and a God-seeker, with the Apostle Peter, a Jew and disciple of Jesus Christ. In Acts 11, Peter is made to defend his contact with this group of Gentiles: "You visited uncircumcised men and ate with them!" (11: 2) Sometimes the Lord deliberately connects such very opposite types of people  We need to be open to who God might want to join us with. Cornelius was a God-seeker with a heart that was ready to receive the message of salvation. There are people everywhere who ask questions in their hearts and are asking God to show Himself real to them. ### Respond What if we prayed and asked the Lord to connect us to someone like that? It could start with a simple prayer: "Lord, I'm available." You might not have an angel appear, or a sheet full of animals drop from the sky, but you might have a chance conversation with someone that's more than a coincidence. He might put someone on your heart that you have not spoken to in years, and now is the right time for a phone call or a catch-up.
