BROKEN HALLELUJAH God is always worthy of worship, and His promises stand true. There is no circumstance in life that we should allow to stop our worship of Him.  To live a life that is not easily swayed by our current situation and emotions, we should allow our heart's cry to be offered up to Him as worship. When we approach God in worship, we’re not always going to have a whole heart:  whether it be from pain and situations in life or our sin, our offering will, at times, be broken. ‘No matter what it costs I’ll bring My thanks and praise, an offering Even with a broken heart, I’m singing Hallelujah.’ We often fall into the trap of thinking our pain might be uncomfortable or repulsive to other people, and even to God. The incredible news is that when it comes to God, our pain isn't uncomfortable or repulsive: it’s the opposite! The Bible says that the offering of a broken heart is pleasing to God: “ My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.” Psalm 51: 17 NIV “God is spirit and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:24 NIV In' Jesus’ own words, we learn that true worship must flow directly from our spirit to the Holy Spirit.   Our spirits are not always whole, so our worship doesn't have to be perfect or polished. Our worship should be honest!  Whatever state our spirit may be in, we bring Him our heartfelt praise. The word ‘truth’ from John’s gospel is more fully translated as 'unveiled reality'. How amazing that we praise God in the unveiled reality of all that Jesus has done!  Our relationship with God is made possible through the hope we have in Jesus.  Jesus is the truth! Our worship is not based on our circumstances. Our worship is spiritual and it's grounded in the reality that Jesus has the victory and is forever on His throne!  We will discover that our best worship experiences are those where our hearts are unveiled, open, and honest before Him. ‘Even if it’s broken, I will lift up my Hallelujah all the same.’ Bring your hallelujah to Him today! It might cost you something, but He is pleased with your offering. He will meet you in your praise. You may be in the middle of a battle today, but His goodness endures, and His love never fails! He is pleased with your offering., and He will meet you in your praise. You may think you need to fix something in your life first, but He’s already done that on the cross. Just bring your heart as it is. Bring your spirit to God, the Holy Spirit. Tell Him again, ‘I love you.’ He’s pleased with your offering. That little Hebrew word hallelujah simply means ‘Praise the Lord!'  So, even when you find yourself feeling broken, encourage your soul to praise the Lord!  He will always meet you in your praise!
