## May 26—Multiplication ### Read Acts 6:7 ### Reflect As the church labored together in unity, proclaiming and living out the word of God, the number of disciples increased. In Acts 2:41 (ESV) we are told about three thousand people “were added” to the church. By the time we get to Acts 6:7 (ESV), addition is replaced by multiplication, “the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem.” The evangelism effort was being expanded as more than just the original 120 in the upper room were involved. Even some of the Jewish priests became obedient to the faith; no doubt some who had supported the crucifixion of Christ had begun to follow him! ### Engage Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions: · What does it say about God? · What does it say about us? · Is there a promise to trust? · Is there a command to obey? · How will I apply this Scripture to my life? · Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth? ### Memorize Now read this week’s memory verse, Acts 2:42. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.
