You are awesome because You give power and strength to Your people. Praise be to God! Thank You that I receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on me, and I can be Your witness wherever I am. I ask that Christians around the world will be strong witnesses with Your power, especially the Christians in Hollywood, who live and work amongst so many people who don't know You. We need more witnesses in Hollywood, who exude Your power. Please give the Christians there the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that they can lead the creative and business decision-makers to You. I pray right now that the hearts of the non-Christian entertainment professionals may be enlightened in order that they may know the hope to which You have called them, and that they experience Your power. In Jesus' name! > REFLECT: Christians need God's power to fight off fear, to combat suffering, and also to be bold in sharing our faith. God tells us that "you receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Hollywood is surely between Judea and the ends of the earth. So, we should acknowledge that Christians should be there and they need God's power, through the Holy Spirit, to share their faith and be powerful witnesses. That's the same power as the mighty strength that God exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand! Think about the implications of that kind of power! If we believe in and don't question God's power, then we should never question sending His people to be witnesses, even to the ends of the earth. > ACT: Take 10 minutes right now and pray for the Lord to send powerful witnesses, whom God has given the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, to work in Hollywood as excellent professionals and as bold witnesses. Would you ask the Lord to enlighten the eyes of the hearts of the non-believers who come in contact with these Christians in order that they may know the hope to which You have called them, the riches of Your glorious inheritance! Would you pray in the power of Your almighty God and Father that He will transform Hollywood through strong witnesses who have a vision for the world's most influential mission field and a love for the people who live and work there. There are now over 10,000 Christians in Hollywood, but they need your prayers to make an eternal difference. Ask the Lord to pour out His incomparably great power for all of us who believe so that we can all partake in His glorious inheritance.
