Oh Lord, I am not ashamed of my testimony about You and I would be proud to suffer for the gospel, because it would be through Your power that I could do that! I want to give You the glory in my sufferings, because my suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. That's Your power working in me and through me. So, I acknowledge Your power in my life always, even when I'm suffering. Your promise gives me the strength to go on! > REFLECT: We know that God is all powerful and because of His power, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. But, have you ever thought about God's power both in and through our suffering? God continues to surprise us with amazing concepts and truths that defy worldly intelligence and the truth that He increases the power of the weak is incredible. That leaves us no time, no experience, no situation where we should ever worry or be afraid. God has thought of everything and He is with us always, in every situation - even when we're suffering. He even tells us that we glory in our sufferings. Just like Jesus gloried in His suffering, we can do the same. So, how would your life change if you could truly praise God and embrace His power in the midst of suffering? That should be a goal that we all embrace with excitement and great anticipation. > ACT: Is there any area where you are suffering physically, emotionally, or spiritually? Can you visualize embracing God's divine power that would squelch any fear, weakness, or timidity. God is offering to fill you up with His power, love, and self-discipline anytime, especially if you are suffering for the gospel. Take His offer and stand firm in your suffering. Praise Him for allowing your suffering, thank Him that it is producing perseverance in you which creates character, and character, hope. And hope does not put you to shame. Now that's power! Don't allow yourself to feel defeated, discouraged, or weak. You are a child of God who has access to His almighty power - even in your suffering! Accept His power right now!
